A Family Session in Madison, Wisconsin

Ah. The first Family Photography Session of Spring. It is so nice to be a Wisconsin Family Photographer after a long, dead winter. (hahah. Other Photographers feel my winter-time pain.) I don’t know where to start with these guys! David and Courtni are the most down to earth parents I have ever met. Together they are raising the CUTEST baby boy named Henry. I never ever want to leave when I am talking with them because it’s just so effortless. We met for their Family Session at Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Madison, Wisconsin.

Together, they love getting out as a family to the park, local farmers markets, and all the quirky eats that Madison has to offer.

Courtni is a stay at home mom to Henry but, is also a kick ass artist. This is something I really appreciate having an art centered career. I am in awe of her natural talent to take any type of mundane thing and make it into a masterpiece. David works in the tech field and is a die hard sports fan. Together, they love getting out as a family to the park, local farmers markets, and all the quirky eats that Madison has to offer.

The Location

Being that The Hafen Family is so down to earth, I took them to a meadow that had just barely started to sprout from the cold winter. I love those first weeks of spring when all the grasses are a soft yellow and flow with the breeze. The thing I love most about any Family Session is the unique connection that each family member has with one another. Henry is an only child (for now hehe) so, both of his parents get to love on him in adoration at all times. Our time together went by too quick but luckily I can follow all their adventures on social media!

Enjoy my favorite photos from this adorable spring session! If you are interested in more info about my family sessions contact me and let’s get you scheduled!
